Brian is a Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser with more than twenty years of experience valuing complex properties throughout Northern California. A Nevada County native and graduate of Nevada Union High School, he earned a B.S. in Economics from Sonoma State University with an emphasis in microeconomics and econometrics.
Brian began his appraisal career in 2003 and established Sierra Nevada Appraisal Group in the years following the financial crisis. He returned to Nevada County to focus on the unique valuation challenges of the region, ranging from rural acreage and custom homes to historic gold rush-era properties.
Today, Brian specializes in litigation and expert witness assignments, including divorce, diminution in value, retrospective valuation, and wildfire-related matters. His work emphasizes objective analysis, clear communication, and reporting that holds up under scrutiny.
Outside of his professional practice, Brian enjoys hiking, distance running, and spending time with his family.

Alexis Grey

Alexis Grey is a California Certified Residential Appraiser with more than twenty years of active practice across the Sierra Nevada Foothills and greater Sacramento area. She has completed thousands of appraisals spanning mortgage lending, estate and trust settlement, divorce, and private client work — with a recognized specialty in rural and small-acreage residential properties that require experience beyond the standard approach.
Alexis holds credentials from the Real Estate Appraisers Association and has earned continuing education in residential land valuation, retrospective appraisal, easements, rural residential properties, and highest and best use analysis, among others. She has also served the appraisal profession as an instructor and curriculum contributor, teaching Business and Technical Writing for Appraisers and developing ongoing continuing education content for REAA.
At Sierra Nevada Appraisal Group, Alexis contributes to complex residential, land, and commercial assignments with the same care for methodology and objectivity that has defined her career.
